An upper digestive endoscopy, gastroscopy or oral panendoscopy diagnostic tests consist in the exploration of the upper digestive tract (esophagus, stomach and duodenum) through an endoscope that is inserted through the patient’s mouth. An endoscope is a thin flexible tube with a camera and a lens attached that allows us to get a live image of the entire digestive tract, take tissue samples (biopsy) and apply various treatments.
At our facilities is always done under anesthetic sedation (except contraindication) for patient comfort.
